Opening of the VFS Visa Application Center in Miami [fr]
To better welcome the public and reduce waiting times, the Consulates General of France in the USA are currently in the process of outsourcing the collection of visa applications to VFS Global.
As previously announced, this new process will gradually be put in place between April and July 2018.
As from Thursday 19 July 2018, the VFS Visa Application Centre (VAC) for FRANCE in MIAMI will collect, by appointments only, on behalf of the French Authorities, visa applications from applicants residing in the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of France in Miami (Florida, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos and USVI).
Appointments can already be made with VFS on the FranceVisas website.
A service fee will be charged and will be payable online when making an appointment.
To facilitate the process for students and others who do not live near an application center, a mobile visa application service may be offered.
The opening of the other visa application centers in the USA will take place according to the following schedule: New Orleans and Houston (May 30), Chicago (June 5), Boston (June 6), San Francisco (June 27), Los Angeles (June 28), Atlanta (July 19) and New York (July 26).
It is only once all the centers are open (on July 26th) that applicants will be able to apply for a visa at the VFS center of their choice.
Prior to the opening of each center, the Embassy and Consulates General will update appointment details and information on procedures.
