Three WWII Veterans to be recognized by France in Coral Gables on Veterans Day

The Consulate General of France in Miami and the University of Miami along with the Student Veterans Organization, faculty and staff veterans and Color Guard invite you to commemorate Veterans Day.


The program includes brief remarks by student veterans at the start of the program, followed by the promotion ceremony of UM Law student Lieutenant Colonel Noel Pace. And the Consul general of France in Miami, Mr. Philippe Létrilliart will award the insignias of “Chevalier dans l’Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur” (Knight in the National Order of the Legion of Honor) to three U.S. veterans who fought alongside France during World War II.

When: Monday, November 11, 2013
From 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Where: The Rock, in front of the UM Bookstore, 1306 Stanford Drive, Coral Gables Campus

Media interested in covering the tribute are welcome to attend and can park at the Pavia Garage (ask for guest pass).

Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
