Official visit of Mrs. Hélène Conway-Mouret to Miami [fr]
Companies visits, exchanges with French entrepreneurs, conferences and lectures on different economic issues: this visit was fully active in the framework of economic diplomacy, developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs these past two years.
After a conference on Transatlantic economic relations in front of Florida International University’s (FIU) students, Hélène Conway-Mouret addressed the French and American local business community at the annual luncheon hosted by the French-American Chamber of Commerce of Miami (FACC) to highlight French strengths and talents.
The Minister met also with Barfield’s representatives, a Sabena Technics TAT Group Company. They were able to unveil their latest aircraft maintenance equipments, all new proposed solutions to the airlines market.

Only a few months before its official inauguration, Ms. Conway-Mouret visited the tunnel leading to the Port of Miami, a huge work made by the French construction Group Bouygues.
This exceptional work as well as the high-tech products made by the Barfield company for the aerospace industry highlight the very strong and current participation of French companies in the local economy.
Committed to pursuing the highest level of dialogue in the State of Florida, the Minister met with Governor Rick Scott, who had conducted on June 2013 a mission to France, which included in particular a visit to the Paris Airshow.
Throughout this two-day visit, Mrs. Hélène Conway-Mouret met also with the French community in Florida.
On Thursday October 31st, the Minister went to the GW Carver Middle School along with the Ambassador, one of the schools who successfully implemented the "International Studies" program, a program for students in Miami that gives the opportunity of studying many subjects in French.
To discuss these issues and all other issues affecting French natives in their daily lives in Florida, the Minister met with representatives of the French associations along with Mrs. Nicole Hirsh, Advisor of the Assembly for French Expatriates.
