On Veterans Day: France pays tribute to American soldiers

France will be eternally grateful for the incommensurable effort made by young Americans for its freedom. In order to pay tribute to three of these American heroes who fought on French soil during WWII, a ceremony will be held November 11th, 2013 at 10:00 AM at University of Miami.


During "French Weeks Miami", on Veterans Day, in partnership with the University of Miami, the Consul General of France, Mr. Philippe Létrilliart, will award the insignias of “Chevalier dans l’Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur” (“Knight in the National Order of the Legion of Honor”) to several U.S. veterans who fought alongside France during World War II.
