Campus France Reaches Floridian Students

Campus France*, the national agency that aims to promote French higher education to American students and institutions, manages presentations on educational programs and studies opportunities in France all year long to tighten the links between France and the United States. Two presentations took place in March in Florida, others are scheduled in April in Tampa, St Petersburg and Miami.

* Campus France is affiliated to the Embassy of France in Washington D.C.

  • A presentation was organized at the University of Florida in Gainesville on March 13th, 2013 to make students aware of all Campus France services.

It was coordinated by one of the faculty members, Dr. Alioune Sow (Associate Professor of French & African Studies and Director of the France-Florida Research Institute).

  • Another intervention took place at Florida International University on March 18th, 2013.

This time, the Consulate representatives were endorsed by Mrs. Christine I. Caly-Sanchez (Associate Director at FIU, Miami-Florida European Union Center of Excellence).

  • Several prospective meetings with college students are scheduled for the weeks to come :
    • first, at the University of South Florida (Tampa campus on April 10th (date to confirm),
    • Saint-Petersburg campus on April 11th, 2013)
    • then at the University of Miami (April 12th, 2013).
