Guadeloupean companies explore new opportunities
Many business encounters await these seven companies. Those connections will expand their businesses and networks.
Entrepreneurs will also attend two other important meetings:
the FACC members’ meeting on November 28th and, of course, the closing coktail of the 5th edition of "French Week Miami" on November 29th.
These economic meetings, organized on the occasion of "French Week Miami," are orchestrated by the Regional Council of Guadeloupe and the FACC Miami with the support of the Beacon Council and the Florida-Caribbean Section of the Committee of French Foreign Trade Advisors and in close collaboration with this consulate.
A half- day forum will focus on sea and air transportation sectors in France and in Florida, in which topics such as preparing the shipment of goods, customs clearance, infrastructure in Florida and the calculation of costs must be addressed.
Many entrepreneurs that are already established in the region of South-Florida will share their experiences in logistics.
Following this conference, companies of the delegation will meet with other entrepreneurs and local officials. The day will conclude with a business card exchange in the evening attended by FACC’s members, the French Foreign Trade Advisors and Beacon Council’s representatives.
The next day, the delegation will be invited to visit the port and airport of Miami as well as a logistics enterprise located in Doral.

Pharm’Up is one of the top distributors of cosmetics, hair products and dietary supplements in the French Caribbean region. Since 1999, the company has established strong French brands (Bioderma, Uriage, Nuxe, Darphin...) in more than 320 pharmacies and beauty stores in Guadeloupe, Martinique, St Marteen and St Barth, as well as 40 stores in Guyana.
Pirkabas Group is specialized in building and civil engineering in Guadeloupe, French Caribbean. It’s main activity is focused on construction work, road maintenance and affordable housing. The company is diversified and also covers maintenance and engineering services for cities and counties; services include street-sweeping, tree trimming, shipping of materials, dumpsters and trucks.
“Ecrin de Chocolat” is a brand that produces fine chocolates with exotic taste, chocolate spread and sweets with natural Caribbean flavors such as mint, passion fruit and guava...
What makes this company unique is not only the know-how, talent and innovativeness of its founder, Naomi, who has won various distinctions and prices, but also the ingredients "Ecrin de chocolat" uses voluntarily less sugar, no palm oil and no preservatives.
NAD Createurs group designs and creates objects of decoration for swimming pools and water inspired landscapes (fountains, ponds, lakes, parks). The sculptures are made in the Caribbean with composite materials from volcanic rocks. They are designed to withstand exposure to harsh weather (wind, rain, sun, as well as freezing temperatures).
Mardis Export specializes in gifts and souvenirs for traveler’s and tourists. They carry an extensive collection of mango wood objects with tropical accents.
They can be customized for Florida with items such as little boxes, clocks with map, vases, ect.
The collection also includes a variety of coconut lamps (coconut tree or animal shapes) and decorative animals (turtle, fish, ...) as well as colored woods keychains, necklaces, bottle openers, magnets and hangers...
Carribean consult provides online servies (web ,apps) for independent non-franchised companies in travel and tourism, car rentals, hotels, and excursions. The company is headquartered in Guadeloupe and has opened an office in London for the European market. The multicultural team allows the company to serve international clients including ones with operations in Latin America.

For 25 years, the FACC Miami has worked in the service of the French business community in Florida.
They have two missions:
- to promote economic and trade relations between France and Florida,
- and assisting in the development of French companies operating or wishing to operate in Florida.
In order to achieve these objectives, the FACC proposes a variety of services to its members:
- linking with legal professionals and real estate to help them realize their projects,
- organizing meetings with local entrepreneurs to exchange experiences, find new business partners, share information and open new markets,
- exposure on the FACC website and sponsorship solutions,
- access to the online calendar of all FACC’s members and of the lists of other French Chambers of Commerce abroad,
- linking businesses looking for job applicants,
- through the FACC NY, sponsoring of J-1 visa for interns and young professionals.
