The first edition of the Startup Tour is jointly organized by FrenchFounders and French Morning, with the support of the Francophone entrepreneurial ecosystem in the U.S., which includes the French Consulates, Business France, l’Association des Anciens des Grandes Ecoles de France in the United States and 3 of the French Tech Hubs present in the U.S.

Five startups per city have been elected to pitch to a jury composed of investors, decision-makers, and key-entrepreneurs in each area. The seven cities hosting the competition are New York, Miami, Boston, Chicago, Montréal, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The finalists of each round will go on to participate in the Grand Final, which will take place in New York next September. Three prizes will be awarded to the most promising startups: a Prix des Grandes Ecoles, a Prix du Public, and a Premier Prix. The latter will be a package worth $100,000.

Each selected start-up will benefit from the experience and advice of several individually appointed mentors at each stage of the Tour. Entrepreneurs will get the opportunities to meet, among others, the following mentors: Alain Bernard, President & CEO Van Cleef & Arpels Americas, Morgan Hermand-Waiche Founder & CEO of Adore Me, Frederic Montagnon, Entrepreneur et Investor, Frederic Levy, Founder and CEO of Coravin, Marie-Eve Piché VP FP&A, Laurent Claquin, Head of Keiring Americas, Eric Martineau-Fortin, Founder & Managing Partner of White Star Capital, and Patrick Cogny, Senior Vice-President of Genpact (…).
